Psychotherapy for Adolescents and Adults in German, English, or Turkish

The psychotherapeutic approach is derived from your individual areas of concern and goals and is based on the therapeutic training of your psychotherapist. During an initial session, we collaboratively identify your therapeutic themes and goals and discuss where psychotherapy can facilitate change. At Praxis Evia, we adhere to the professional guidelines of the Federation of Swiss Psychologists (FSP) and Swiss data protection regulations.

Psychotherapy for Adolescents

Play and talk therapy for adolescents is based on a humanistic and cognitive-behavioral approach, tailored to their individual growth and needs. We provide a safe space to address challenges, understand emotions, and develop healthy coping strategies. The adolescent’s entire system is considered to achieve optimal therapeutic effectiveness.

Psychotherapy for Adults

Our interventions for adults aged 18 and older are designed to address psychological stress and disorders (e.g., anxiety disorders, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder). Therapeutic methods are always evidence-based and proven effective. Additionally, we consider psychological stressors such as individual life crises, relationship problems, professional challenges, or personal development steps. With realistic goals, we support you on your journey toward greater self-awareness and efficacy, emotional stability, and personal growth.

Basic Health Insurance
Since July 1, 2022, psychotherapeutic services are covered by health insurance. However, a medical prescription for 15 sessions is required before the first session (provided by general practitioners, psychiatrists, specialists in psychosomatic medicine, or for crisis interventions of up to 10 sessions by specialists). An extension for another 15 sessions requires prior agreement with the patient. If continuation beyond 30 sessions is indicated, the psychotherapist will prepare a case assessment with a psychiatrist and the general practitioner and apply to the health insurance for coverage approval. This prescription form must be completed and signed by your general practitioner before the start of treatment and submitted to the psychotherapist.

Supplementary Insurance
For patients with supplementary insurance, it is advisable to check with the insurer which costs are covered. Coverage and co-payments may vary depending on the insurer.

Self-Paying
You have the option to pay for psychotherapy yourself. For individual sessions, the standard rate is CHF 190 for 60 minutes. For family and parental consultations, the standard rate is CHF 250 for 90 minutes. These time allocations include direct consultation time as well as necessary preparation and follow-up.

Conditions

Cancellations are free up to 24 hours before the scheduled appointment. Late cancellations incur a fee of CHF 140 for individual sessions and CHF 200 for couple sessions. The full amount is charged for no-shows.
